Project Teams are small, dynamic groups that come together to work on specific projects, events, or creative ideas. Whether it’s organizing the Custodia Gala, working on an alumni initiative, or helping launch a new publication or event concept, these teams give you the freedom to contribute your skills and creativity directly to the association’s goals.

Getting involved is simple: just sign up below or reach out to the Supervising Board Member listed below for the team you’re interested in. They’ll tell you more about what’s planned and how you can participate.​

⚛️ Nuclear Week Project Team

Get ready for one of Custodia’s most ambitious initiatives: Custodia Goes Nuclear Week! 💥
Taking place in Block 3, this project connects our studies with real-world practice through a full week dedicated to nuclear themes; from energy and safety to warfare, diplomacy, and deterrence.

Expect a mix of academic and social events, including:

• Visits to institutions like OPCW, COVRA, and Borssele

• Guest lectures with experts and policymakers

• Movie nights, borrels, and community events
   

The Nuclear Week Project Team will support the Board with coordination, outreach, logistics, and creative input, making this one of Custodia’s true highlight projects of the year. It’s a unique opportunity to bridge academia, policy, and community, and to help shape a recurring tradition within the association. 🌍

🇪🇺 Brussels Trip Project Team

This year, Custodia aims to elevate one of its signature experiences: our annual trip to Brussels.
The Brussels Trip Project Team will take the lead in organizing an expanded short field trip to the heart of Europe, including at least a visit to the NATO Headquarters, with the potential to add other key institutions such as the European Parliament, European Commission, and EEAS.

The goal? To turn Custodia’s long-standing NATO visit into a broader, more immersive academic experience that combines international security, diplomacy, and policy engagement.

Team members will help with:

• Institutional outreach and scheduling of visits

• Logistics and travel coordination

• Participant communication and itinerary planning
   

This is your chance to help shape what will hopefully become a cornerstone Custodia tradition.

🎭 End-of-Year Gala Project Team

The Gala Project Team is responsible for crafting one of Custodia’s most elegant and anticipated events: our End-of-Year Gala! ✨

From venue scouting to decoration design, this team ensures the year concludes in true Custodia style. Tasks include:

• Finding and coordinating the venue

• Managing budget and ticketing

• Designing the event theme and decorations

• Ensuring a seamless guest experience
   

Whether you love planning large-scale events or simply enjoy adding your creative touch to a big night, this project is your opportunity to help create the celebration that everyone will remember.

Do you have a story to tell, an opinion to share, or a design idea to bring to life? Join the team behind The Custodia Courier: our annual magazine that captures the voices, ideas, and creativity of the Custodia community.

Writers, editors, and designers collaborate to produce a professional publication that blends student life, culture, and security insights - from academic pieces and interviews to lifestyle sections, puzzles, and photography.

Roles include:

• Editor-in-Chief: Coordinates the overall vision and content.

• Art Director: Oversees design and layout.

• Section Editors: Manage individual parts of the magazine.

• Writers & Creatives: Contribute articles, puzzles, photos, or graphics.
