Custodia Courier
Founded in January 2024, the Custodia Courier is our student-run magazine that blends academic insight with campus life. Covering topics in security studies, crisis and security management, international relations, politics, as well as student life, study tips, exchange experiences, puzzles, and cultural recommendations, it offers something for everyone in our diverse community.

Our mission is to showcase developments in the field while creating a dynamic, creative space for students and experts to share ideas, explore interests, and connect across programs and generations, from first-year students to senior alumni.

Are you an aspiring writer? A Life Experience Guru? A firey puzzlemaker, crypthography nerd, movie buff or restaurant enjoyer? Are you interested in sharing your experiences during your studies (abroad aswell!), publishing articles or opinion pieces, conducting interviews with experts and writing about developments in the field, or maybe you just like desigining cool looking graphics? Then get involved with the Custodia Courier's 3rd edition!

We have the following roles in the Courier.
Editor-in-chief: Responsible for coordinating the writing and contents of the different elements of the magazine. End responsible for the magazine. Sets Vision manages deadlines, Quality Control, coordinates meetings.

Art Director: Responsible for visual design of the magazine, and coordinating with Editor-in-chief on layout decisions, publishing support, software and license buys, etc.

​Section Editors: Responsible for coordinating a certain section of the magazine. Collaborate with Editor-in-chief and Art Director.
For Example:

Student Life Section (Covers student experiences, movie recommendations, puzzles, lifestyle tips, etc.),

Security & Crisis Editor (Focuses on academic and field-specific topics, including intelligence, terrorism, governance, cyber, and more),
-
Features Editor (Manages in-depth stories, interviews, and investigative pieces)
Section Editors are expected to be writers for their section.​

Writers: Write one or multiple articles, puzzles, or anything else that fits the magazine. Works together with their section director and Art director to publish their articles.
​
Graphic Designer, Illustrator, Photographer: Support the Art Director and writers and editors in making the magazine look stunning.

We have not yet opened applications for the team of the 3rd edition of the courier.
When the time comes to apply, email courier@custodiathehague.com with what you want to apply for, a short proposal of what you want to do/write about and a short motivation about why you want to get involved.
